According to Rizwan, following the captain’s decisions is part of his responsibility. He added that his faith also teaches obedience to leadership, and in cricket, the captain is the leader of the team, so it is important to respect the captain’s decisions.
He explained that the captain’s call during the match was made according to the situation, and he had no complaints about being recalled. Rizwan further mentioned that after the match, both the coach and the captain spoke with him, expressed their thanks, and also apologized.
Rizwan assured that under his Big Bash League contract, he remains available for his team, the Melbourne Renegades, for upcoming matches, and reiterated that rumors of him leaving the league are incorrect.
