Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has climbed to ninth place in the ICC Test rankings released on Wednesday.
In the latest update, Pakistan’s Babar Azam has also moved up one position to reach 11th place. England’s Joe Root continues to hold the top spot in the rankings.
Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis has made a notable rise, jumping six positions to secure the 19th spot.
In the bowling rankings, India’s veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has taken the top position. Additionally, Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has re-entered the top 10 in the Test bowling rankings.
