Premier urges Mengal to extend support in line with 'constitutional packag

Islamabad-Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Akhtar Mengal has urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to release 2,000 missing persons, amid reports of a potential alliance between the two parties.

According to sources, PM Shehbaz had requested Mengal’s support for his government in exchange for a “constitutional package.” The BNP-M has two senators, making their backing crucial for the government.

In a related development, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif is set to meet with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to address his concerns. Sources revealed that PM Shehbaz had welcomed Nawaz Sharif upon his arrival in Islamabad and briefed him on the proposed constitutional reforms package.

Nawaz Sharif, a three-time prime minister, is expected to attend the upcoming National Assembly session.
