Lahore-Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif Discuss Governance Reforms with British Envoy, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif met with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Murree on Sunday. The meeting focused on key areas such as education, healthcare, and climate change.
CM Maryam Nawaz briefed the high commissioner on the Punjab government’s initiatives to address climate change, including the introduction of the Performance Indicator (PI) system to enhance governance standards.
She also invited British institutions to invest in the Nawaz Sharif IT City, highlighting Punjab’s rapid progress in digitization. The CM appreciated the cooperation between Pakistan and the UK in education and healthcare, seeking further collaboration.
The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral ties and explore opportunities for mutual benefit.
