Man Dies in Lahore After Alleged Custodial Police Torture

Lahore custody death triggers inquiry as police investigate alleged torture, recovered weapons, stolen motorcycle, and await autopsy findings report clarity.

Lahore – (Web Desk) – An accused identified as Usman Manzoor died while in police custody in Lahore after reportedly being subjected to severe torture.

According to police officials, Wahdat Colony Police had arrested Usman and another suspect, Hamza, under Section 401 of the Pakistan Penal Code and recovered weapons during the arrest.

Later, the police also recovered a stolen motorcycle from their custody.

The dead body of Usman was shifted to the hospital for an autopsy. Police also obtained evidence from the crime scene.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Iqbal Town said that after completion of the inquiry real cause of the death will be determined.
