Sufyan Khan Scores Four as Pakistan Lose 5-4
ISLAMABAD: (Sports Desk) – Malaysia defeated Pakistan 5-4 in a thrilling Group B match at the ongoing Asian Games hockey tournament.
The two sides were level at 3-3 as the match entered the third quarter, setting up a closely contested finish.
Pakistan took the lead in the fourth quarter when Sufyan Khan found the net, putting his side 4-3 ahead. However, Malaysia mounted a late comeback, scoring twice in the final five minutes to seal a 5-4 victory.
Sufyan Khan scored all four of Pakistan’s goals in the match, but his efforts were not enough to secure a win.
With the result, Malaysia remain at the top of Group B, while Pakistan are second in the standings.
Pakistan will now play their final group-stage match against Oman.
