Jhal Magsi – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – A tragic M-8 highway accident Jhal Magsi has left at least eight people dead and 30 others injured. The crash happened near the Barija area on Thursday, sending shockwaves through the local community.
A passenger coach was on its way from Kharan to Larkana when it met with a serious accident on the M-8 road. Police confirmed the crash and immediately reached the scene to begin their investigation.
Among those who lost their lives were a child, a woman, and several men. Thirty other passengers suffered injuries of varying severity. District Health Officer Ali Magsi confirmed that the injured were quickly shifted to BHU Barija for emergency medical care.
Seven passengers were in critical condition and could not be treated at the local facility. They were referred to hospitals in Larkana for advanced medical treatment.
Emergency response teams faced a major hurdle during the rescue operation. A shortage of ambulances in the area slowed down relief efforts, raising serious concerns about emergency infrastructure on the M-8 highway.
Police teams are now actively investigating the cause of the accident. Authorities have not yet released an official statement on what led to the crash.
