Latest PSL X Points Table as Kings Down Gladiators

PSL X will continue tomorrow with Multan Sultans taking on Peshawar Zalmi.

A clinical performance with both bat and ball saw the Karachi Kings dismantle the Quetta Gladiators by 56 runs at the National Stadium in match 8 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X, not only securing two crucial points but also giving their net run rate a healthy boost in the latest points table.

After choosing to bat under the Karachi lights, the Kings piled up a competitive 175/7, thanks largely to a fluent 70 off 47 balls from James Vince, ably supported by skipper David Warner (31 off 20) and Tim Seifert (27 off 15). Vince anchored the innings with his timing and composure, while a late cameo from Mohammad Nabi pushed Karachi to a par-plus score.

In reply, Quetta never recovered from a top-order collapse. The Gladiators were reduced to 47/6 inside nine overs and never looked like chasing the target, eventually limping to 119/9 in their 20 overs.

Veteran seamer Hasan Ali was once again at his lethal best, picking up 3 for 27 and becoming the highest wicket-taker in PSL history in the process. Mohammad Nabi (4-1-7-2) was virtually unplayable, choking the scoring in the middle overs and triggering the collapse. Abbas Afridi and Aamer Jamal chipped in with two and one wickets, respectively.
