LAHORE: The provincial capital is likely to observe a four-day holiday on the occasion of Basant celebrations, subject to approval of a proposed Friday holiday by the district administration.
Kashmir Day is already scheduled for Thursday, February 5, while routine weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday will further extend the break. If the proposed Friday holiday is approved, Lahore will witness four consecutive holidays.
Officials said the extended holidays are expected to ease traffic congestion, with a noticeable reduction in vehicular movement, particularly motorcycles, making travel more convenient for citizens.
