New York – Lady Gaga is officially making her much-anticipated return to the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) stage after a five-year hiatus, and her fans couldn’t be more excited. MTV confirmed the news via social media, declaring:
“There will be magic in the air at the 2025 #VMAs because @LADYGAGA IS PERFORMING! You won’t want to miss her return, September 7 on @cbstv and @paramountplus!”
Gaga will join a star-studded lineup of performers including Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, and others for performances scheduled on September 6 and 7.
Adding to the excitement, Lady Gaga leads the nominations this year with an impressive 12 nods, cementing her place as one of the evening’s top contenders.
The performance also coincides with the upcoming release of her new track “The Dead Dance” on September 3, which will feature in the second season of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday. Gaga recently appeared at Netflix and Spotify’s Wednesday Graveyard Gala at Guastavino’s in New York City to announce both her musical contribution and guest appearance in the show.
“I’m taking a little break from the Mayhem Ball to come say hello. I had a wonderful time working on Wednesday season two, even just being a small part of the show,” Gaga said at the event. “I loved working with Tim Burton and Jenna. Everyone here is so incredible. Thank you. I’m also here to confirm that my song ‘The Dead Dance’ is coming September 3.”
Fans can expect a dynamic VMAs performance from the Bloody Mary hitmaker, as she reclaims her spotlight with new music and another bold chapter in her multi-faceted career.
