PESHAWAR — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi has written a formal letter to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressing serious concern over alleged obstacles preventing meetings with former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
In the letter, Afridi stated that it is unacceptable to block meetings with Imran Khan despite court orders. He also alleged that Khan’s family, including his sisters, faced mistreatment, and elderly women were made to sit on the road outside the jail, which he described as a violation of human and moral values.

The KP Chief Minister outlined four urgent demands, including the immediate implementation of court orders, action against officials responsible for misconduct, clear instructions to jail and police authorities, and the establishment of a dignified and lawful system for meetings.
Afridi emphasized that Imran Khan is a former prime minister and PTI leader, whose mandate forms the basis of the KP government. He urged the Punjab government to take prompt action to ensure the protection of the fundamental rights of political leaders and citizens.
