Triumph and Unity Mark Conclusion of Kashmir Day Cycle Race
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cycling Association proudly wraps up the exhilarating Kashmir Day Cycle Race, a testament to sportsmanship and athleticism that captivated audiences along its challenging 48-kilometer route from Mardan to Peshawar.
In a display of sheer determination and skill, cyclists showcased their prowess, claiming the top three positions in a thrilling finish. Sanaullah emerged as the undisputed champion, conquering the course in an impressive 1 hour, 13 minutes, and 25 seconds. Khizar Hayat secured the second position with a commendable time of 1 hour, 13 minutes, and 50 seconds, closely followed by Haroon Khan, who clinched the third position with a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 30 seconds.
Drawing participants from various regions including Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, and Kohat, the race epitomized the unity and competitive spirit within the cycling community, showcasing the enduring passion for the sport across diverse divisions.
The event was graced by distinguished personalities, including the presence of international cricket sensation Fakhar Zaman and the esteemed DSO Mardan, Saeed Akhtar. They joined forces with Chairman Nasir Ahmad, President Syed Shayan Ali Shah, Secretary Muhammad Ali, and other officials as special guests, adding prestige to the occasion.
The successful organization of the race was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the District Sports Office Mardan and PEMS Schools System, underscoring the significance of community partnerships in fostering sports and fostering healthy competition.
