Due to a significant power outage, the Dhabeji pumping station has halted all operations, leading to a suspension of water supply to Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city.

According to a spokesperson from the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB), the power breakdown has caused all pumps at the station to stop functioning. As a result, water supply to Karachi has been temporarily interrupted. The Dhabeji Pumping Station, located in one of the world’s most densely populated urban areas, is critical to the city’s water distribution system.
