Karachi Port Improves Global Ranking with Strong Performance Gains
Karachi: (Web Desk) Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has recorded a significant achievement by moving up 30 spots in the global Container Port Performance Index (CPPI), highlighting notable progress in operational efficiency.
According to KPT officials, Karachi Port now ranks 69th worldwide, reflecting improvements in cargo handling, turnaround times and overall port productivity.
The port’s CPPI score rose from 30 to 45.7, demonstrating stronger performance across key operational indicators. Officials said KPT is focused on sustaining this momentum and aims to secure a position among the world’s top 50 container ports by 2027.
