Karachi-(Staff Reporter): In a tragic incident in Karachi’s Razzaqabad area, two laborers lost their lives, and another was severely injured during the installation of a pole-mounted transformer (PMT).
The accident happened as the workers were digging a hole about 20 to 25 feet deep for the installation process.
Rescue teams quickly transported the deceased and injured to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, but the identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
Police reports indicate that the laborers were working on the PMT connection when a landslide occurred, leading to the accident.
This unfortunate event brings to mind previous landslides in Karachi, such as the 2015 tragedy in Gulistan-e-Johar, which resulted in 13 fatalities, including seven children and three women.
