Israel Sets New Conditions for Gaza Ceasefire with Hamas

Israel Continues Military Actions in Gaza, Over 600 Palestinians Killed

GAZA: Israel has presented new conditions to Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza. According to reports, Israeli Foreign Minister and Defence Minister have made it clear that if Hamas benefits from the foreign humanitarian aid arriving in Gaza, that aid will be blocked from entering the region.

Furthermore, the Israeli Defence Minister stated that a ceasefire could be possible if Hamas surrenders its weapons and releases hostages. This comes after ceasefire mediators proposed that Hamas release five hostages, including American nationals. In return, Israel would agree to a one-week ceasefire, during which humanitarian aid would be allowed into Gaza, and Israel would release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.

A Hamas official confirmed that the organization has responded to the ceasefire proposal, but no official response has been received from Israel yet.
