Islamabad Traffic Police Cracks Down on Helmet Violations, Issues 1,00,000 Fines
Islamabad(Staff Reporter);Islamabad Traffic Police has issued over 1,00,000 fine tickets to motorcyclists caught riding without helmets during the ongoing year, as part of a rigorous campaign to enforce traffic rules and ensure road safety.
According to a public relations officer, the campaign aims to create awareness among citizens about the importance of wearing helmets while riding motorcycles. The initiative is in line with the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
Islamabad Traffic Police is working to maintain an exemplary traffic system in the city, with a focus on educating road users about traffic rules and regulations. Officers have been directed to ensure impartial implementation of traffic rules, demonstrate patience and politeness while issuing fine tickets, and utilize all available resources to facilitate the general public.
Capital Islamabad Will Now Issue Driving Licenses to Everyone
The police are also urging parents not to allow underage children to drive vehicles until they reach the age of maturity. The issuance of fine tickets is not intended as a punitive measure, but rather to ensure a safe road environment in the Capital and protect the lives of citizens.
