Islamabad Reports 33 New Dengue Cases as Surveillance Intensifies

Citizens have been urged to cooperate fully with authorities to help curb the spread of dengue fever.

Islamabad: The district administration on Sunday released a surveillance report highlighting the ongoing dengue situation in the city. In the past 24 hours, 33 new cases of dengue fever have been reported, with 14 cases from rural areas and 19 from urban localities.

Anti-dengue teams conducted inspections at 467 locations across various sectors and union councils. During larvae checks, four positive and nine negative cases were identified. Additionally, anti-dengue spraying was carried out at 1,141 points throughout the district.

The administration warned that strict action will be taken against any violations of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to dengue prevention. Officials assured that anti-dengue efforts will continue vigorously until the disease is completely eradicated.
