Islamabad Excise Department Launches Crackdown on Tinted and Unregistered Vehicles

The Excise Department in Islamabad has launched a strict crackdown on vehicles with tinted windows and unregistered vehicles, issuing hefty fines as part of a new enforcement drive.
Fines for vehicles with tinted windows will range from Rs5,000 to Rs10,000, while unregistered vehicles will face penalties starting at Rs15,000, according to department officials. The campaign aims to bolster road safety and ensure adherence to traffic rules.
Authorities have indicated that the crackdown will extend across all areas of the capital, focusing on high-traffic zones.
This initiative is part of a larger effort to strengthen law enforcement on the roads, addressing issues related to vehicle registration and unauthorized modifications. Drivers are encouraged to comply with the regulations and remove any illegal tints from their cars.

The Excise Department clarified that the purpose of the fines is not just to penalize but also to promote safer driving conditions for everyone on the road.
