Pakistan Iran Foreign Ministers Hold Call on Regional Developments

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday to discuss the evolving regional situation.

During the call, Ishaq Dar expressed concern over current regional developments and emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path forward for ensuring peace and stability. Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact as the situation continues to unfold.

This was the second interaction between the two foreign ministers in recent days. Earlier on Saturday, Araghchi had spoken with Dar while the Pakistani deputy prime minister was on an official visit to Dubai.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the Iranian foreign minister thanked Ishaq Dar for Pakistan’s strong diplomatic support at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, particularly Islamabad’s call for a vote and its decision to vote against a resolution concerning Iran.
