IRSA Reports Water Releases and Levels in Indus River System

115,100 Cusecs Released Amid Rising Water Levels

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) announced on Monday that it has released 115,100 cusecs of water from various rim stations, with an inflow recorded at 79,800 cusecs.

According to the data provided by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at the Tarbela Dam stands at 1,535.73 feet, which is 137.73 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet. The inflow and outflow of water at the dam were measured at 41,100 cusecs and 50,000 cusecs, respectively.

In the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam, the water level reached 1,203.50 feet, exceeding its dead level of 1,050 feet by 153.50 feet. The inflow and outflow for this dam were recorded at 8,600 cusecs and 35,000 cusecs, respectively.

Water releases at various points were as follows: Kalabagh recorded 50,800 cusecs, Taunsa 62,900 cusecs, Guddu 54,900 cusecs, and Sukkur 15,800 cusecs. Additionally, the Kabul River released a total of 18,300 cusecs at Nowshera, while 3,500 cusecs were released from the Chenab River at Marala.
