During the ceremony, Eje’i remarked that Pezeshkian faces a “significant and heavy responsibility”.

Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian takes the oath of office Tuesday afternoon local time in the Iranian parliament. He already took office on Sunday when Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei gave his seal of approval in a ceremony. It is expected that members of his cabinet will be announced after today’s formality in parliament.
