Iran Strikes Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan After US Hits Hormuz Sites

IRAN – (Web Desk) – Iran strikes Kuwait, Bahrain US bases marked a dangerous new chapter in the ongoing conflict between Tehran and Washington. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched waves of drones and missiles targeting American military positions across the Gulf, deepening fears of a wider regional war.

The attacks came after the US military hit Iranian air defence systems, radar sites, and ground control stations near the Strait of Hormuz. Washington said the strikes were in response to Iran shooting down a US Apache helicopter over waters near Oman’s coast.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they targeted four sites at the US al-Azraq base in Jordan, including F-35 fighter jet hangars and a command centre. They warned they were ready to deliver a “crushing and decisive” response to any further American aggression.

In Kuwait, Iranian drones targeted the Ali Al Salem base. Kuwaiti air defences were activated and the public was urged to follow safety instructions. Bahrain also came under attack, with Iran targeting the US Fifth Fleet headquarters. Bahrain’s air defences responded and pushed back the assault.

Jordan’s armed forces said they intercepted and shot down five Iranian missiles fired toward the al-Azraq base. Debris fell on Jordanian territory but no injuries were reported.

A US official said nearly all Iranian missiles and drones were intercepted. No American personnel were reported hurt and no significant damage to US locations was confirmed.

Foreign forces in proximity to our territory are at constant risk on account of their own human errors, plain accidents, or potentially being caught in crossfire.

Oil prices climbed about one percent in early Asian trading following the escalation. The Strait of Hormuz, which once carried a fifth of the world’s oil and gas, remains heavily disrupted since the war began in late February.

Peace talks between Iran and the US remain stalled. Iran wants sanctions lifted and frozen assets released. The US insists any deal must block Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
