Mumbai: Indian actress Pragya Nagra, known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, has responded to an alleged leaked video that recently went viral on social media, clarifying that the content was AI-generated.

Taking to Instagram to express her thoughts, Pragya stated, “Still in denial, and still hoping that it’s just a bad dream that I will wake up from.” She went on to condemn the misuse of technology, saying, “Technology was meant to help us and not make our lives miserable. I can only pity the evil minds who misuse it to create such AI content and the people who help spread it!”

The viral video, which remains surrounded by uncertainty about its origins, has caused significant distress to the actress. Pragya, who boasts a following of over 1.1 million on Instagram, made her debut in Tamil cinema in 2022 and has since built a strong presence in South Indian film industries.

Despite the controversy surrounding the video, Pragya emphasized her determination to stay strong. She shared her gratitude for the support she has received from fans, writing, “Trying to stay strong through all of this and grateful to all the people who are there for me in these moments.”

Pragya also voiced her concern for other women who might face similar situations, adding, “I hope and pray that no other woman has to go through such an ordeal and that all of you stay safe!”
