India and Pakistan Agree on Hybrid Model for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
DUBAI: In a significant development for international cricket, both Pakistan and India have agreed to a hybrid model for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has granted approval for the arrangement, which will see both nations participating in the tournament without traveling to each other’s countries.
Under the hybrid model, India will not travel to Pakistan for the tournament, and its matches will be played in Dubai. Likewise, for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan will not travel to India. Instead, Pakistan’s matches are scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

According to Indian media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will not receive any compensation as part of this agreement. This arrangement reflects a diplomatic breakthrough, allowing both countries to balance their long-standing cricketing rivalry while ensuring the smooth conduct of major ICC events in the future.
