Quetta-Independence Day Celebrations Showcase Nation’s Resolve Against Adversity; CM Bugti, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the significance of celebrating Independence Day with enthusiasm and a strong national spirit. He highlighted the importance of reviving traditional shooting sports, an integral part of Baloch, Pashtun, and local tribes’ heritage.

CM Bugti warned of enemy forces attempting to destabilize Pakistan through propaganda and violence, but expressed confidence in the combined efforts of security forces and the nation’s commitment to development to thwart such efforts. He emphasized the need for unity in resisting anti-national forces seeking to create a divide between the state and its people.

The Chief Minister’s message came as Independence Day celebrations took place across Balochistan, showcasing the nation’s resolve against adversity.

Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reiterated the federal government’s commitment to developing Balochistan and bringing it on par with other provinces during a meeting with Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti at the CM Secretariat in Quetta.

Dar assured that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the federal government are dedicated to Balochistan’s development and have a deep affection for its people. He pledged full cooperation for the province’s development and expressed satisfaction with the provincial government’s efforts to restore law and order.

The meeting, attended by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, discussed ongoing development projects, law and order, and social development initiatives in Balochistan. Dar assured the timely release of funds for federal development projects in the province.

Chief Minister Bugti thanked Dar for his commitment and highlighted the provincial government’s efforts to improve governance and service delivery. He emphasized the alignment of the Provincial Development Program with public needs and the inclusion of 75% of approved projects in the budget.

Bugti stressed the importance of good governance, accountability, and timely completion of federal development projects, relying on the federal government’s support for fund releases. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to Balochistan’s development and cooperation between the federal and provincial governments.
