Imran Khan Seeks PTI’s Help for Release, Govt Denies Any Deal or NRO: Attaullah Tarar

Tarar Challenges PTI to Reveal Imran Khan's Income Sources Amid £190 Million Corruption Probe

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar revealed on Thursday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has urged his party to make arrangements for his release.

Addressing the media, Tarar emphasized that while the government is open to developments in ongoing negotiations, it will not entertain any deals or provide an NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance). He made it clear that the government remains committed to transparency and accountability.

Tarar also challenged the PTI to disclose the sources of Imran Khan’s income, adding that the ongoing investigations into the £190 million mega corruption scandal are raising significant concerns. “We have never witnessed a scandal of this magnitude before,” he said.

He further raised questions about a luxurious house worth Rs 250 million built in Lahore, suggesting that Imran Khan might be seeking a deal to avoid being implicated in the corruption case. “There are serious questions regarding the sources of wealth and the transparency of transactions,” Tarar stated.
