Imran Khan seeks exercise dumbbells in Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has made two requests during the hearing of the Al-Qadir University 190 million pounds reference case in the court.

His lawyer Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry submitted the requests, which included providing a pair of dumbbells for exercise in the jail and obtaining the necessary signed letter for bank statements.

Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, asked for dumbbells to maintain his exercise routine. The second request was for permission to sign a letter requiring access to his bank statements.

The court directed the jail authorities to deal with both the petitions as per the jail manual.

However, jail officials rejected the requests, saying that providing dumbbells for exercise was a violation of jail manuals. Additionally, they have withheld documents related to the bank statement request.
