Imad Wasim Announces Retirement from International Cricket Again

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced his retirement from international cricket once again. In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Imad expressed that after careful consideration, he had decided to step away from representing Pakistan at the international level. He called it the greatest honor of his life to have worn the green jersey, stating that each moment playing for the national team had been unforgettable.

Imad, who has been a prominent figure in Pakistan’s cricket team for several years, also thanked fans for their unwavering support and passion throughout his career. He credited their encouragement for helping him give his best for the country, through both highs and lows.

Despite retiring from international cricket, Imad confirmed that he will continue to play in domestic and franchise cricket, where he aims to keep entertaining his fans and contributing to the game in new ways.

This is not the first time Imad has announced his retirement. In November 2023, he made a similar announcement, but he reversed his decision earlier this year in March when the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) requested him to rejoin the squad for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
