IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remains on duty even on Sunday

According to details, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, remained present in the field even on Sunday and issued instructions to officers on various matters, a public relations officer said.

Islamabad: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remains on duty even on Sunday. He said that, the IGP Islamabad visited various checkpoints and issued special instructions to police officers to ensure better performance of their duties.

He also met with traffic staff and directed them to maintain smooth traffic flow on roads and to interact with citizens courteously.

The IGP Islamabad commended the efforts of traffic officers in ensuring traffic flow during rain and announced commendation certificates and rewards for them.

Additionally, important meetings were also held at the Central Police Office (CPO).

On this occasion, IGP Islamabad said that we will remain vigilant day and night, seven days a week in order to maintain peace in the city.

He emphasized that their primary responsibility is the protection of the lives and property of the citizens, and will utilize all resources to maintain it.

Industrial Area and homicide unit police teams arrested accused involved in blind murder case

According to the details, the Islamabad Police Industrial Area police station and Homicide Unit police teams have arrested an accused involved in a blind murder case, , a public relations officer said.

He said that, On April 20, 2024, the Industrial Area police station team found the body of an unidentified woman, who was later identified as Kanwal, who was murdered by unknown suspects with a weapon. The police team conducted a post-mortem and handed over the dead body to the relatives.

Upon which a FIR no 350/24 was registered at Industrial Area police station. Following this incident, a special investigation team was constituted.

DIG (Operations) Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari, took strict notice of the incident and issued orders for the arrest of the accused involved in it.

The police team utilized all available resources and used technical and scientific methods and arrested an accused namely Naeem Khan, who was identified as the deceased husband, while further investigation is underway.

DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and to ensure the safety of lives and property of citizens on a priority basis.

He said that the Islamabad Capital Police adopts a zero-tolerance policy against violence, including injustices and crimes, and the accused involved in it will be brought to justice by taking strict legal action against them.

He appreciated the performance of the police teams and further directed all officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.

Islamabad Police launch special campaign against tinted and fancy plate vehicles

According to details, following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police is continuously engaged in establishing and enforcing the traffic system and ensuring implementation of traffic laws in the federal capital Islamabad, a public relations officer said.

He said that in this regard, the Islamabad Police has intensified its ongoing special campaign against motorcycles and vehicles with tinted glasses and fancy number plates and making it more effective.

Therefore, the Islamabad Police special teams have been deployed at various intersections and important locations of the federal capital to ensure the enforcement of traffic laws and remain vigilant at all times.

Under this special campaign, legal actions are being taken against motorcyclists and drivers who violate traffic laws, in addition to taking all necessary measures to maintain traffic flow.

Islamabad Police special teams have provided awareness to citizens during various activities to educate them about road safety and traffic laws.

Citizens are urged to cooperate with police and display the number plates issued by the excise and taxation department on their vehicles and motorcycles and ensure compliance with traffic laws.
