IG Motorway Police Holds Live E-Khuli Katchery to Address Public Issues

Islamabad (News Desk) – Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP), Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, held a live E-Khuli Katchery broadcast simultaneously on FM-95 Radio and the official NHMP Facebook page to directly engage with citizens and employees.

During the live session, IG Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry listened to public and staff concerns through phone calls and issued immediate instructions to the concerned officers for prompt resolution of issues. He emphasized that providing timely assistance to the public and ensuring safe and smooth travel on national highways and motorways remains the top priority of the Motorway Police.

The Inspector General stated that the NHMP regularly organizes live E-Khuli Katcheries on a monthly basis to strengthen public outreach, transparency, and responsiveness. He noted that the Motorway Police enjoys a strong reputation at both national and international levels due to its professionalism and performance, adding that leading such an exemplary force is a matter of pride.

Citizens also shared constructive suggestions during the session, which were appreciated by the IG. He highlighted that effective policing and the dedicated efforts of NHMP officers have led to a significant reduction in traffic accidents across highways and motorways.

IG Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry urged the public to cooperate fully with the Motorway Police and strictly follow traffic laws, especially during the foggy season. He advised travelers to follow travel advisories and obtain real-time road updates through Helpline 130 or NHMP’s official social media platforms @nhmp before starting their journeys.

Describing the E-Khuli Katchery as an efficient and transparent platform, the IG said it ensures direct access to senior leadership and facilitates swift resolution of public issues. He also highlighted ongoing initiatives related to road safety awareness, employee welfare, promotions, and addressing manpower shortages, reaffirming that all available resources are being utilized to ensure road safety and public service.
