IESCO’s Detection Teams Recover Rs. 665.9 Million from Power Thieves

Islamabad(Staff Reporter)IESCO’s Detection Teams Recover Rs. 665.9 Million from Power Thieves, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) detection teams have cracked down on power theft, imposing fines of over Rs. 665.9 million on power pilferers in a bid to curb the menace and ensure uninterrupted power supply to legitimate consumers.
Chief Executive IESCO Muhammad Naeem Jan in his statement said that since 7th September 2023 our detection teams imposed fines amounting to Rs. 665.9 million to consumers involved in electricity theft through various methods. Police have also registered 2263 FIRs against electricity thieves and arrested 1,626 individuals.
Similarly On the other hand, IESCO’s recovery teams are also very vigilant against defaulters and during on going Compaign recovered 3.79 billion rupees from over 143,000 running and dead defaulter.

Chief Executive Officer of IESCO, Mohammad Naeem Jan, has urged consumers to pay their electricity dues on time and support IESCO in this national campaign against electricity theft. He has requested consumers to report electricity theft to the relevant SDO complaint office numbers, IESCO helpline number 118, or the Complaint and Monitoring Cell numbers 051-9252933-34 for prompt action.
