Islamabad;ICT Schools to Offer Foreign Language Training: MoU Signed, A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday between the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTCC), and National University of Modern Languages (NUML) to introduce foreign language training in selected Islamabad schools. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool, Rector NUML, and Secretary Federal Directorate of Education.
The MoU aims to equip students with foreign language skills, enhancing their global prospects and fostering cultural understanding. A six-month foreign language course will be imparted to FDE students, with certificates awarded upon completion. Selected schools in Islamabad will participate in the language courses.

In a separate development, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (M/o FE&PT) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) signed an MoU on a Joint IT Internships Program to enhance IT student employability and strengthen industry-academia linkage. The 24-month partnership establishes a paid internship program for students enrolled in Hi-Impact IT Labs in 16 Degree Colleges. CDA will offer ten six-month internships with a monthly stipend of PKR 40,000/-. Interns will receive certificates from CDA upon completion.
These initiatives mark significant milestones in modernizing education and empowering youth, according to Dr. Khalid Maqbool, Minister of Education. FDE, NAVTCC, NUML, M/o FbadE&PT, and CDA are committed to working together to make these initiatives successful, benefiting students and the community.
