Islamabad-IESCO CEO Vows to Eradicate Power Theft, Achieve 100% Bill Recovery, Muhammad Naeem Jan, Chief Executive Officer of IESCO, has launched a comprehensive campaign against power theft and defaulters in the entire IESCO region, in line with the vision of the Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Energy and directives from Chairman Board of Directors Dr. Tahir Masood.

Chief Executive IESCO Muhammad Naeem Jan while briefing said that IESCO detection teams with collaboration Police, FIA and other law enforcement agencies charged Rs. 676.23 million to electricity thieves , 2345 FIRs registered and police also arrested 1907 power Pilferers.

During a briefing, Jan reported significant progress:

– Detection teams, in collaboration with police, FIA, and other law enforcement agencies, have:
– Charged Rs. 676.23 million to electricity thieves
– Registered 2345 FIRs
– Arrested 1907 power pilferers
– Recovery teams have:
– Recovered over Rs. 3949.27 million from 148,617 running and dead defaulters
– Removed meters and transformers from those who didn’t pay outstanding bills,

IESCO Chief showed commitment to eliminate power theft from IESCO region for stronger economy and brighter Pakistan and 100 percent collection of electricity bills for power continuity and timely completion of ongoing system maintenance and upgrading projects. He urged valuable customers to identify power theft and payment of electricity bill in due course of time being as a national responsibility,
