ICC Releases Latest ODI & T20 Player Rankings: Babar Azam Maintains Top Spot in ODIs

Shaheen Afridi has made progress in the T20 rankings, securing 21st place

Islamabad: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest One Day International (ODI) player rankings, with Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam retaining his position as the number one ODI batter.

According to the latest rankings, despite being sidelined, Fakhar Zaman has made an upward move, rising by one spot to reach 17th place with 623 points. This improvement comes despite several months away from action.

In the Test rankings, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Rizwan, and Saim Ayub have maintained their positions, holding 20th, 22nd, and 23rd spots respectively.

In the ODI category, Babar Azam remains at the top, while India’s Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli occupy the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Haris Rauf has secured 18th place with 585 points, while Naseem Shah has risen to 50th and Wasim Junior has moved up two spots to 59th. Mohammad Nawaz holds steady at 72nd.

Shaheen Afridi has dropped one position to 4th, with Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana overtaking him. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and India’s Kuldeep Yadav continue to occupy the first and second spots in the bowling rankings.

T20 Rankings Update

In the T20 rankings, Babar Azam has risen six spots and is now in 6th place, joining his teammate and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan in the top 10. Meanwhile, Saim Ayub’s 57th position remains unchanged.

In the T20 rankings, Australia’s Travis Head remains at number one, followed by England’s Phil Salt in second and India’s Tilak Varma in third.

Shaheen Afridi has made progress in the T20 rankings, securing 21st place, while Haris Rauf and Abbas Afridi have seen a drop, now placed at 29th and 44th respectively.
