ICC Champions Trophy: India Sets 250-Runs Target for New Zealand

Dubai: In the 12th match of the ICC Champions Trophy, India has set a target of 250 runs for New Zealand to win.

The match is being played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium. New Zealand won the toss and opted to field first. Indian team is being led by Rohit Sharma, while New Zealand is captained by Mitchell Santner.

India lost their first wicket at a total score of 15 when Shubman Gill was dismissed for 2 runs. The second wicket fell at 22 runs when Indian captain Rohit Sharma was out for 15 runs.

The third wicket fell at a total of 30 runs when Virat Kohli was dismissed for 11 runs. The fourth wicket fell at 128 runs when Axar Patel was dismissed for 42 runs. The fifth wicket fell at 172 runs when Shreyas Iyer was out for 79 runs, playing a brilliant knock with 2 sixes and 4 fours.

India’s sixth wicket fell at 182 runs when KL Rahul was dismissed for 23 runs. The seventh wicket fell at 223 runs when Ravindra Jadeja was out for 16 runs. At 246 runs, India’s eighth wicket fell when Hardik Pandya was dismissed for 45 runs. India’s ninth wicket fell on the last ball of the innings, with Mohammad Shami being dismissed for 5 runs.

After the toss, New Zealand’s captain mentioned that they had made one change in the team, with Daryl Mitchell replacing Devon Conway. He also noted that the wicket looked good and they would try to dismiss India quickly.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma stated that the spinners played an important role in the previous match and that they would have preferred to bat first if they had won the toss.

Both teams have already qualified for the semi-finals, while Australia and South Africa have also secured their spots. The first semi-final will be played on March 4, and the second semi-final will take place on March 5.
