IAF AN-32 Crash Jorhat: Pilot Feared Dead in Assam

IAF  – (Web Desk) – An IAF AN-32 crash Jorhat has sent shockwaves across India after the military transport aircraft went down during landing at Rowriah Air Force Station in Assam’s Jorhat district on Saturday.

The aircraft, an AN-32 cargo plane used for carrying military supplies, crashed while attempting to land at the airbase. The pilot is feared dead in the incident. Details about other crew members on board have not yet been confirmed.

The Indian Air Force confirmed that one of its military aircraft met with an accident at the Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam. Firefighting and rescue teams reached the crash site immediately after the incident was reported.

The cause of the crash is not yet known. A full investigation is expected to be launched to find out what went wrong during the landing attempt.

Rowriah Air Force Station is one of the most important air bases in India’s Northeast. It plays a key role in air operations across Assam and the broader region.

This crash comes months after an IAF Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet went down near Inglong Ekopi Hill in Karbi Anglong district during a routine training flight, about 60 km from Jorhat Air Base.

Rescue operations are still ongoing at the site. Further updates are awaited from the Indian Air Force.
