The registration process for the Honahar Scholarship Program has officially begun for university students throughout Punjab. This initiative seeks to provide scholarships to 30,000 deserving students each year across 68 fields of study, making higher education more accessible to talented individuals.
The program will support students from 50 public universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges, along with leading private universities.
Over the next four years, the total scholarship amount is projected to reach Rs130 billion, benefiting approximately 120,000 students.
At the launch of the scholarship program, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the initiative fulfills her commitment to eliminate financial barriers for deserving students, enabling them to achieve their educational goals.

Application Guidelines for the Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship Program
1. Eligibility Criteria:
– Academic Performance: Applicants must have secured at least 80% marks in their most recent exam.
– Family Income: The annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
– Residency: Candidates must be permanent residents of Punjab and provide valid proof of residency.
2. Online Application Process:
– Registration: Visit the official scholarship website and register using a valid email address and phone number.
– Application Form: Complete the online form, providing personal, academic, and financial details.
– Document Upload: Scan and upload the required documents, such as academic transcripts, income proof, and identification.
– Submission: Review the application carefully before submitting. A reference number will be generated for tracking purposes.
3. Document Verification:
– The scholarship committee will thoroughly review and verify the submitted applications and documents.
4. Interview (if required):
– Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview as part of the selection process.
5. Final Selection:
– The final list of selected students will be announced on the scholarship portal, and notifications will be sent via email and SMS.
6. Scholarship Disbursement:
– Funds will be directly transferred to the selected students’ bank accounts, so applicants must provide their banking details during the application process.
