HEC Warns Public Against Fraudulent Educational Document Verification Agents
Citizens Warned Against Sharing Educational Records With Unauthorized Agents
ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has cautioned citizens against fraudulent individuals posing as authorised agents to offer educational document verification services, warning the public not to share personal details or academic records with unauthorised persons.
In a public alert, the Commission revealed that certain individuals were approaching applicants while claiming to facilitate the verification of educational certificates and other documents through the HEC.
The commission clarified that such offers could be fraudulent attempts to obtain citizens’ personal information and misuse their educational records. It urged applicants to remain vigilant and avoid handing over their documents or sensitive information to unknown individuals.
According to the HEC, the entire educational document verification process is conducted online through a paperless system, enabling applicants to submit their requests conveniently from their homes.
The Commission advised citizens to complete the process themselves by following the guidelines available on its official website instead of relying on agents, intermediaries or other unauthorised service providers.
Applicants can access details about document verification procedures and submit their requests through the HEC website at www.hec.gov.pk. An online help desk is also available to guide applicants through the process.
For further assistance, citizens can contact the HEC helpline at 051-111-119-432 or 0334-1119432.
