ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Higher Education Commission has announced a scholarship programme for Pakistani PhD scholars seeking to conduct research at educational and research institutions in Austria.
According to the commission, doctoral candidates from a broad range of disciplines will be eligible to apply, including science, medicine, engineering, physics, chemistry, computer engineering and other related fields.
Under the programme, successful applicants will receive full financial support for the first six months of their research activities in Austrian institutions, providing an opportunity to gain valuable international academic experience and strengthen their research expertise.
HEC officials said the initiative is designed to promote research collaboration and academic partnerships between Pakistan and Austria while helping scholars access world-class facilities and global research networks.

The commission has set July 7, 2026, as the deadline for submitting applications and has encouraged interested candidates to complete the process well before the closing date.
