HBL PSL 12 Confirmed From March 18 To May 2, 2027
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the previous season had demonstrated the potential of the league
ISLAMABAD: (News Desk) – Pakistan’s premier domestic cricket tournament, the HBL Pakistan Super League, will return for its 12th edition from March 18 to May 2, 2027, with all eight franchises set to compete for the title.
The dates were finalised following consultations with key stakeholders during a meeting of the HBL PSL Governing Council in London on September 1, 2026. Owners and representatives of all eight franchises attended the meeting.
The 2027 edition will follow a landmark 2026 season, which saw the league expand to eight teams for the first time. The player draft was also replaced by an auction, while the final at Gaddafi Stadium attracted a record crowd of 32,461 spectators.
Peshawar Zalmi won the 2026 title after defeating debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final on May 3, ending their nine-year wait for the PSL trophy.
With the dates now confirmed, preparations for the next season will move ahead with several key milestones, including direct signings, player retentions, the trade window and the player auction.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the previous season had demonstrated the potential of the league, adding that the board was committed to making the 2027 edition another successful season.
HBL PSL CEO Salman Naseer said the upcoming season would build on the changes introduced in 2026, with direct signings, retentions, trades and the auction expected to generate further interest among fans.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said detailed information regarding the schedule, venues, player auction and ticketing arrangements would be announced at a later stage.
