Hamza Ali Abbasi Returns to TV With Hina Afridi

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi is preparing to return to television with the upcoming drama ‘Goongay Behray Khawab’, where he will share the screen for the first time with rising actress Hina Afridi.

The new project brings together an unexpected on-screen pairing, with the combination of an established star and a younger Gen Z performer already generating interest among drama viewers.

The serial is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Saife Hassan, whose television credits include Sang-e-Mar Mar and Zard Patton Ka Bunn. The script has been written by Zafarullah Khan.

For Hamza Ali Abbasi, the drama represents an important return to HUM TV after almost a decade. His previous appearance on the channel was the hit serial Mann Mayal, which premiered in 2016 and starred him alongside Maya Ali.

Since Mann Mayal, Hamza has taken a selective approach to acting, appearing in fewer television projects. His return to the small screen has therefore become one of the more anticipated developments for Pakistani drama audiences.

For Hina Afridi, meanwhile, the project marks another opportunity to strengthen her position among the emerging generation of Pakistani television actors. She has gained attention through projects including Ghulam Badshah Sundari, and working opposite a seasoned performer like Hamza could prove to be another important milestone in her career.

With Saife Hassan directing and Zafarullah Khan behind the script, ‘Goongay Behray Khawab’ combines established creative talent with a fresh lead pairing.
