Gunmen attack Jhal Magsi police station, one killed
One Dead, Five Hurt as Gunmen Storm Kotra Police Station in Jhal Magsi
Jhal Magsi – (Web Desk) – A man was killed and five others were wounded in a brazen attack on Kotra Police Station in Jhal Magsi early this morning. The victims include SHO Mir Hassan Sipra, two policemen and two civilians. Mohammad Iqbal Lashari and Nisar Ahmad Lashari are also among the injured.
Unknown gunmen opened fire on the station at 6:00 am. The shooting was still going on when this report was filed. It was a heavy exchange of fire that shook the entire area.
People in the neighbourhood were terrified. Many stayed indoors and kept their children away from windows and doors. The situation was tense for hours.
Police teams reached the spot quickly. A search operation was launched right away to hunt down the attackers. Authorities are working to bring the situation under control.
Earlier in January 2026, a tribal elder and chairman of the Panjk Union Council in Jhal Magsi district was killed in an exchange of fire between two clans of the Magsi tribe while his two children were injured.

Police said the exchange of fire occurred in the Panjk area when members of two rival groups came face to face. As a result, Panjk Union Council Chairman Mir Asif Sohrab Magsi was killed on the spot, while his two children traveling with him received injuries.
