Govt & JAAC discuss the AJK situation in a second round of talks.

A second round of negotiations begins to address public concerns and find a legal solution for Azad Kashmir.

MUZAFFARABAD – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – As efforts to find a peaceful and legal solution to the persistent problems in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) continue, the second round of negotiations between the government delegation and the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) got underway in Muzaffarabad on Friday.

In order to resolve public complaints and put an end to the most recent round of protests in the area, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s high-level delegation is interacting with JAAC representatives.

“The second round of negotiations between our delegation and the representatives of the JAAC has begun in Muzaffarabad,” said Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, who posted pictures from the meeting on his official X account.

Reiterating full support for the rights of the Kashmiri people, he said that most of JAAC’s demands — those in the public interest — have already been accepted. Dialogue is ongoing regarding the remaining demands, which require constitutional amendments, he noted.

“We believe that violence is not a solution,” he added, expressing hope that the Action Committee will resolve all matters through peaceful dialogue.
