ISLAMABAD: The federal government has declared Thursday, May 1, a public holiday across the country to mark International Labour Day.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, all public and private offices will remain closed on the day.
The State Bank of Pakistan has also announced that all banks will remain closed on Thursday in observance of the holiday.
Labour Day is observed annually on May 1 across the world to honour the contributions of workers and highlight issues faced by the labour force.
