Google Maps Introduces Refreshed, More Organized Settings Page
Google Maps Rolls Out Redesigned Settings Page for Easier Navigation
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Google has started rolling out an updated Settings page for Google Maps, bringing a cleaner and more organized layout to one of the app’s least-changed sections. The redesign focuses on usability, dividing settings into seven main categories: Apps and Display, Navigation, Your Vehicles, Location and Privacy, Offline Maps, Notifications, and About and Terms.
A key improvement is the relocation of the “Sign out of Google Maps” button, now prominently displayed for easier access. The back arrow has also been replaced by an “X” button in the top-right corner, allowing users to exit Settings more efficiently. While options are better grouped for logical navigation, certain areas like Navigation remain largely unchanged.

The refresh stops short of a full visual overhaul, as the Settings page does not yet adopt Google’s Material 3 Expressive design, which is already visible in other parts of Maps. Currently, the redesigned Settings are available on Pixel devices through beta versions, with a phased rollout expected for wider availability in future updates.
