Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan Amid Global Market Rally

Following a slight dip the day before, gold prices in Pakistan surged significantly on Wednesday, mirroring substantial increases in global markets for the precious metal.

In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,200 per tola, bringing it to Rs277,200, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Additionally, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs1,886, now priced at Rs237,654.

On the international front, gold prices also trended upward, with an increase of $22 during the day, resulting in an international price of $2,675 per ounce according to the APGJSA.

Despite the rise in gold prices, the silver market remained steady, with the price of silver holding at Rs3,050 per tola.

Last month, gold prices in Pakistan reached a record high of Rs277,000 per tola, driven by notable gains in the international market.
