Gold Prices Tumble in Pakistan, International Market After Brief Rally
KARACHI: (Finance Reporter) – Gold prices recorded another sharp decline in both Pakistan and the international market on Tuesday, reversing the gains seen a day earlier.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold per tola fell by Rs4,300 to Rs427,436, while the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs3,687 to Rs366,457.
Silver prices also moved lower, with the rate per tola decreasing by Rs174 to Rs6,223.
In the international market, the price of gold declined by $43 per ounce, bringing it down to $4,050.
The latest drop comes a day after gold prices had surged in both local and global markets. On Monday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola had increased by Rs4,000 to Rs431,736, while the rate for 10 grams had risen by Rs3,430 to Rs370,143.
Global gold prices had also climbed by $40 per ounce in the previous session, reaching $4,093 before reversing course.
