Gas theft crackdown: Another 169 connections disconnected in Punjab, KP and Islamabad; Rs 2.8 million fine imposed
Islamabad: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 169 connections; Rs 2.8 million fine imposed
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 17 connections on illegal use of gas while another 06 on use of compressor. In Rawalpindi the team disconnected 7 connections on illegal use of gas while another 4 on use of compressor and amount of Rs 0.31 million against gas theft cases.In Multan 06 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 11 on use of compressor .

In Peshawar and Karak,the company disconnected 74 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 2.34 million against gas theft cases .The team also lodged 3 FIRs against gas pilfers.
In Sahiwal three connections were disconnected on use of compressor while another 02 on illegal use of gas.
In Sheikhupura 29 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 0.02 million booked against gas theft cases.The regional team of Bahawalpur disconnected 08 connections on illegal use of gas. In Faisalabad the team disconnected 2 connections on illegal use of gas and imposed fine of Rs 0.13 million against gas theft cases.
