Gas Cylinder Explosion Injures Four at Supreme Court
Security and rescue teams reached the site, and a bomb disposal squad also arrived at the Supreme Court to collect evidence.
ISLAMABAD: Four people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at the basement canteen of the Supreme Court.
The blast shook the Supreme Court building, and the injured were immediately shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.
Security and rescue teams reached the site, and a bomb disposal squad also arrived at the Supreme Court to collect evidence.
The explosion caused damage to the canteen furniture, broke the glass at the Bar Association reception, and affected Court No. 6. At the time of the blast, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi and Justice Malik Shahzad were hearing a case.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. According to rescue sources, the explosion occurred during the repair of the AC gas plant, which shook the Supreme Court building. Lawyers and court staff immediately evacuated to an open area outside the building.
